There’s the drone you take on vacation with you, then there’s the drone you use to create a cinematic masterpiece.

Just because someone offers drone coverage, doesn’t mean they’re doing it legally. To fly commercially for a wedding or corporate video, a drone must be operated by a UAS Pilot.

Rules of the Sky

It is up to the drone pilot to know the Rules of the Sky, and where it is and is not safe to fly.

In order to fly a drone under the FAA’s Small UAS Rule (Part 107), you must obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA, to show that you understand how to fly a drone safely and within regulations.

We check the aeronautical map for the proper airspace, review weather METAR or TAF codes, and file any waivers with the FAA, if necessary.
